Master these 3 Roller Skating Tricks

Roller skating is a great sport and hobby. It provides astonishing physical and mental health benefits! And you can easily amp up your roller-skating game with the following roller-skating tricks.

Here are 3 simple roller-skating tricks you can learn this summer.

Backward Skating

Practice makes perfect and you too can learn to skate backward
with practice.

Begin at the wall with your chest toward the ground. Tighten your abs and try to push off the wall. Take small steps backward. Once you are comfortable with this step, push off the wall again and take strides (not steps) backward. Let your hips help you gain momentum. Once you are comfortable with this too, begin doing the same without using the wall.

Jumping

Once you are skilled in gliding and falling correctly, you can learn to jump. Take several powerful glides to build the momentum. When you feel confident enough, bend your knees with your feet close together. Push off the ground and jump straight up. Keep your knees bent while coming back down for a correct landing. Continue gliding, when you land. It not only makes you look super cool but also ensures a smooth landing.

Spinning

Spinning while skating is a super-impressive and fun trick. Begin by finding an open area where others won’t bump into you. Take several gliding strides and act as if you are making a tight turn. However, continue gliding while your skates are turned instead of straightening out your roller skates. Pointing your feet inward will help you stop when you want to.

Great skaters are not born. It takes practice and perseverance to be one. So, grab your pair and start developing these cool skills!
